Jennifer Pounds is a native of Atlanta, Georgia where she earned her B.A. in French and International Relations from Emory University and a certificate in French-English translation from Georgia State University. Jennifer works as a French language instructor at Evening at Emory. As an independent contractor, she also teaches French in corporate settings and works as an interpreter, translator and tour guide. Since 2000, Jennifer has led trips to many of the regions of France, including several wine-related tours. Jennifer fell in love with the French language at 13 and later, when she was a student in Paris, came to appreciate and study French wine. Her love of language, travel and wine have led her to visit many of the wine regions of the world, including New Zealand, Australia, parts of Italy and California. Her expertise in French wines comes from living in the country and traveling extensively in all of the major wine regions of France. Jennifer has lived in the United States, France and Japan, and has traveled extensively throughout the world, both working and studying. In addition to French, Jennifer has also studied Japanese, Spanish, Italian and German.
