Since retiring from the federal government in 2010, Chef Joanne made a very important decision – to finally pursue her dream of learning more about culinary field. She graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta having learned about classical French techniques, garde manger (the cold kitchen), and a baking and pastry diploma. She is here to show you the hows and whys to create wonderful fresh meals in your own home. In case she looks familiar, she has been a Cook’s Warehouse employee for approximately 10 years and currently teaches, among other sweet and savory classes, A weekend Basics Series as well as Knife Skills for Adults, Teens, and Tweens (yes, she starts appropriate knife skills for as young as 10 years old). She also co-teaches an advanced grilling class with our resident Smokemaster, Jeremy Garlington.
