A Seat at the Table: A Community Potluck with the Beekman Boys (10101)

Price Price: $39.00

When Manhattan-based couple Brent Ridge and Josh Kilmer-Purcell purchased a weekend farm in Sharon Springs, New York (population just over 500), they had no idea how this move would change their lives and the lives of those around them. The symbiotic relationship with the village not only helped them save the farm during the financial meltdown in 2008, but also breathed new life into the struggling community. And every step began and continues around the collective table. Join us for an evening of community, connection and nourishing one another around the table. All are welcome, period. This is just to enjoy supper together as a community. This is truly a potluck event: Brent and Josh invite you to bring dishes made with local ingredients, if possible. If you don’t cook, no problem – bring a bowl of apples. If you don’t garden or shop at the farmers’ market, that’s okay too – bring your favorite dish. We just want everyone to share and reconnect with their neighbors. **Attendees will receive a copy of A SEAT AT THE TABLE: Recipes to Nourish Your Family, Friends, and Community, a $30 value.
