Simple Abundance: What Does It REALLY Mean to Eat Local? (8973)

Price Price: $55.00

Want to know what it means to live, eat and be local and organic? This class is for you. Murphy’s has been one of Atlanta’s best-loved restaurants for more than 30 years. And with many years of experience from London to New York (as Chef Eric Ripert’s sous chef at Le Bernardin) to California to Atlanta, Chef Ian Winslade is more than capable at the helm of this Virginia Highlands mainstay. Ian will be joined by RJ Kessler from Planted Rock Farm – a farm in the Chattahoochie Hills countryside focused on sustainable agriculture. For this class they will utilize fresh produce and seafood and do a compare and contrast between the flavor of local, organic and store bought purchases. Ian will go over what the Farm to Table Movement really means to a chef and what it looks like for an individual at home. Complete class menu coming soon. Evening includes wine tastings and a chance to win tasty door prizes.
